Jennifer created Family Ties to bring to life the true meaning of L’dor V’dor — from generation to generation. At the heart of her work is a beautifully guided ceremony centered around the tallit, one of Judaism’s most sacred and personal garments. In the weeks leading up to a B’nei Mitzvah, Jennifer gathers family members together for an intimate experience where tzitzit — the threads of the tallit — are exchanged between generations. As each thread is re-tied, family members offer a personal blessing to the honoree. The result is something truly profound: when your child steps onto the bimah and wears their tallit for the very first time, it is literally woven with the love, blessings, and threads of the generations that came before them.

Jennifer’s journey began when she developed the B’nei Mitzvah program at a temple in Encino, where she learned directly from the Rabbi how to tie tzitzit and discovered the deep symbolism a tallit can hold. That experience sparked something lasting — a passion for creating meaningful connection between people and across generations.

Inspired by that same spirit, Jennifer lives in Los Angeles with her husband and treasures time spent with her two adult sons and soon-to-be daughter-in-law. Family, in every sense of the word, is what drives her work.

And while Family Ties was born from the B’nei Mitzvah experience, Jennifer’s ceremonies can be beautifully adapted for weddings, baby namings, and other lifecycle events — because the bonds between generations deserve to be honored at every milestone.
